Support

OpenVitals is maintained as a privacy-first local health app.

What Support Helps With

Support and contributions help with:

  • Making OpenVitals easier to discover through positive Google Play reviews.
  • Keeping up with Health Connect and Android platform changes.
  • Testing real-world health metric flows across devices and Health Connect providers.
  • Improving documentation, screenshots, release notes, and translations.
  • Maintaining the local app’s no-account, no-cloud, no-analytics, and no-ads boundary.

Leave A Google Play Review

If the app is useful to you, a short positive review on Google Play helps other people find it:

Where Support Belongs

User-facing support questions should usually point to:

Developer setup and verification notes belong in Build from source and Contributing.

Privacy Boundary

Support workflows should not require automatic health data upload. Diagnostics and crash report drafts should remain explicit user actions.

GitHub issues are public. Please don’t paste health data there: values, the dates of your records, names, medical records, screenshots that show your data, the names of your export files, or device addresses. The import and sync reports the app copies hold counts and reasons only, so they can be pasted. A diagnostics log has addresses, identifiers and dates masked but still shows what you did in the app; send it by email from Settings → Report an issue instead.
